The Goodmess By Harshita Mishra

Who we are

In a post-pandemic 2023, many sought to redefine their lives and desires. In this moment of shared reflection, our co-founder envisioned a world where everyone could truly celebrate themselves, their quirks, choices, and uniqueness- realising that while flaws are part of all beings, it’s the good within this ‘mess’ that guides the journey. Channeling her love for colours and graphics to express joy and effortless charm, that come from embracing one’s true self; she shaped her vision in the form of Goodmess. We are a ready-to-wear, contemporary lifestyle clothing brand based in NCR, India. We create for wholehearted, empowered, self-exploring individuals who don’t necessarily need a “special occasion” to dress up. We make fashion accessible and expressive for everyday life, inspiring you to be your eclectic self and beam brightly!

Our Approach

At Goodmess, we bring our vision to life by designing collections that present experiential themes, offering a safe and stimulating space for you. Through our creations, we hope to help you connect with your emotions, empathise with others, and rise above uncomfortable or unconventional situations. Our aim is to encourage you to celebrate the good in every moment and embrace the beauty of your imperfections and strength.

We seamlessly blend these themes with global runway trends, creating pieces that are meaningful yet versatile enough to fit any cosmopolitan wardrobe.

As designers, we also challenge stereotypes surrounding Indian-made and eco-friendly designs through these collections; proving that sustainability and tradition can coexist with urban style.

Our Duty

Though we prioritise striking visuals, we are equally committed to responsibility- towards our planet, team, society and consumers.

We avoid non-biodegradable materials unless technically necessary and use dead stock and recycled materials whenever possible. We ensure fair wages and safe working conditions for our manufacturing team and partners. We strive to use India’s diverse arts and crafts not only to celebrate our heritage but also to strengthen local economies by supporting artisans.

Durability is integral to our design philosophy, meaning our products are made to last, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Additionally, we produce limited collections to prevent oversupply, allowing us to experiment with creativity while minimising our environmental impact.
